Hoomin stepped in the door, greeted as always by Benno’s chirp and tail flick. Dinner was served promptly, and Benno began munching happily.
Hoomin (looking around):
“…Where’s Lohe?”
The flat was quiet. Too quiet. Until a faint giggle floated from the bedroom.
Lohe (whispering to himself behind the curtains):
“Finally! The perfect hiding spot. No one can see me now… I am invisible.”
⸻
Hoomin peeked into the bedroom — and nearly laughed out loud. Lohe’s silhouette was perfectly visible behind the see-through curtains. In fact, his tail was swishing in plain sight like a waving flag.
Still, Hoomin played along.
Hoomin (aloud, pretending):
“Huh. Strange. Only Benno came for dinner. Guess Lohe isn’t here… oh well, maybe I’ll just take his food away.”
There was a sudden gasp from behind the curtain.
Lohe (panicked whisper):
“No… no, he wouldn’t dare—”
Hoomin (turning toward the bowls):
“Yep. Looks like only one dinner tonight.”
The curtain exploded as Lohe launched himself into the room, eyes wide and fur puffed.
Lohe (murmuring fast):
“Fine! You forced me to reveal myself! But only because of the dinner threats!”
⸻
Benno nearly choked on his kibble from laughing so hard.
Benno (giggling):
“He actually thought the see-through curtain made him invisible!”
Lohe (grumbling, tail flicking):
“Next time it will work. You’ll see… or rather, you won’t.”
Hoomin shook his head, smiling. The kingdom might be full of tiny tricksters, but it was never boring.
